Moving to the "City" wasn't on our list of things to do this year.
But here are some things we've enjoyed in the past month of our latest adventure as city dwellers.
1. At noon, everyday, the city REMINDS me to eat. The siren goes off at the fire station and now this sound prompts me to drive to the nearest McDonald's, ASAP.

3. We have a friendly neighborhood. Some neighbors have come over to introduce themselves. We meet others by getting notices in the mail that a sex offender has moved in down the street.
4. Street lamps come in handy. People mow the lawn at all hours. Even after dark.
5. We've been able to go over colors, quantity, and sorting skills with our five year old. You can only use certain colored bags to throw the garbage, certain number of garbage cans, and you quickly find that it pays to sort the garbage and recycle as much as possible so you don't have to pay for more garbage.
So here are just a few of our experiences. I may have others to share later.

I've learned a lot living in a city too, but what I have really learned is I prefer the calm of the country. (There is a car alarm going off VERY loudly at this very moment.)
You are getting very smart. Do keep this list for later reference. Hope I never have to learn any of those things!
One more thing.....who is Louie Vito? (sorry I'm not in the loop)
Haa! That is funny... I had totally forgotten about the noon alarm! We lived like 1/4 of a mile from one in Dodgeville.... it is a good thing too cuz you know me, always forgetting to eat! :)
How long do you think you will be there??
Mom, Louie is a snowboarder who was in the Olympics this past winter. He was also on Dancing With the Stars. He lives in Utah right now (I imagine Park City or somewhere), but his parents still live here. They own the radio station.
Oh, I probably still have the snowboarding on DVR...I'll have to check it out!
