Little of This....Little of That

(yes, this is our tree)

It is sure nice to have the trees come back to life. Our forests of gray & brown are now being replaced with multiple colors of green and lots and lots of beautiful blossoms everywhere. For our family it is a little bitter-sweet. We all, except for Josie & Justin, look and feel like crap. With all the new beauty comes full blown allergies. We'll be okay in about four weeks.

Thankfully most all of our problems deals with tree pollen and we are good till fall when the weeds that bug us get yucky. Todd has a couple more funny things that he's allergic to though. Like pig dander and cockroaches. I've never seen any cockroaches so he's good there, but he does share a room with Mitch so there isn't too much we can do about his allergies with pigs.

On another, much sweeter, subject....here is Josie's first quilt she's ever made all by herself.

She made it to take to girls camp. I showed her the concept of the 'strip method' and left her with a box of scrap fat quarters (small pieces of fabric for any non-quilter types). I think she did an awesome job. She thought it would be fun to be able to have her friends from camp be able to sign the back of it, kind of like the kids do with t-shirts. Good job, Josie!

Poor, poor Todd! My heart goes out to the poor kid. It made me so sad to see his skin test--- I hope they can give him some good meds to help his suffering. Spring allergies are Miserable! I guess you guys can't live on a pig farm now that he's so allergic to them.
Also, GREAT job to Josie. I admire her, I have yet to piece a quilt. It looks so cute!
I got all of your messages, Cassie. Sorry I never called you back. I will soon--Thank You for my gifts!!

OH MY GOSH, Todd's back looks sawful! I feel so bad for you guys that have to suffer so terribly with Allergies. I know how I feel and it's nothing compared to you guys =0( I'm so sorry! Josie's quilt is beautiful! GOOD JOB! I wish I was that good! I am soooo impressed and I think the idea of signing it at girl's camp is AWESOME! I have a soft spot for Girl's Camp though =0)

Josie at girls camp! Wow! I just got Britt's checklist yesterday. She is majorly excited to go since she is 4th year and can ride horses this year. But Josie...what a hot quilt! You are the Queen!

Yeah, Josie! It looks great all finished! Cassie, is that Todd's back or a picture you found? Looking at that makes me cringe. Poor kid! At least now he knows what to avoid if he can.
