Fun Times

We've been so busy around here doing such fun stuff I thought I'd share some of it with you.

A couple weeks ago we went up to Sandusky, Ohio to Cedar Point. What a fun amusement park. My mom would L.O.V.E. love it because they have "Planet Snoopy" for the little kids.

Layne took Josie & Todd to the bigger rides so nearly all the pictures I have are of Mitch & Justin.

Here is the Kite Eating Tree. It was funny to see it drop and the eye balls of all those little kids pop open. Mitch was more afraid than Justin. He's always been scared of heights. Here is proof that these are Aunt Geri's blood relatives. Yummmy drinks. (refer to Geri's Sept. 10th post)

We visited Lake Erie. We needed a whole week here. Maybe next year.

And right now we are happy to have three cute additions to our family.

Scott & Mitzi went to China for a couple of weeks and we got to keep their three youngest little girls. Mauri (3), Maymi (2), and Mylei (7mts). What a fun time we are having.

So what are my thoughts about having seven children?

1. You really should try to have them one at a time.

2. Scheduling can get hairy sometimes.

3. Someone is always hungry or thirsty.

4. Everything that happens is an 'accident'.

5. I get tired much faster than I used to.

6. We have missed having a baby in the house.

7. It is F-U-N!!

Cute pics...especially the one with all the kids at Lake Erie. Did you guys go swimming? I went swimming once in Lake Erie and then I read somewhere that it was super polluted and then it freaked me out. Just wondering if that is true.

Fun is right. I'll bet your kids are having a blast.
I remember being at your house when Mitch was born. After being told to quit messing with the fish food, and then spilling the biggest can of fish food that I've ever seen, I remember Todd's face. He looked at me with the scardest, it was an accident look I've ever seen. When I said, "let's hurry & clean this up before your Dad sees it", he ran to me and said, "I love you grandma"! ..... Accidents do happen!

I'm just wondering where Mitzi and Scott live that they can drop by with the girls? They are cuties and you are a champ of a friend.

They live in north/central WI. About 12 hours from here.

Looks like the kids had a blast!! That picture of Lake Erie looks like the ocean.... Can you see the sides at all? We met those cute little ones this summer and they are adorable!!

I have had a couple questions about Lake Erie. Here is what I know.

Becca's question was about the quality of the water.
*Lake Erie infamously became very polluted in the 1960s and 1970s. Since the 1970s environmental regulation has led to a great increase in water quality. So you most likely wont have too many side effects if you swam in it in the past few years.

Becky's question was if you can see the sides of the lake.
* Lake Erie is the fourth largest lake (by surface area) of the five Great Lakes, and the tenth largest globally. Depending on where you are on it you may see a shore line or one of the several islands that are in it. They have some fun resorts on the islands.

Judd is convinced that we were at the ocean. Mitch feels obligated to argue that fact with him even though he has no clue about the differences between lakes and oceans. So we just call it "the beach".

Hey, I have been to Ceder Point with you guys!! Was it Honda Days or did you go just for fun?
The "beach" picture did turn out awesome!
So has Layne decided that 4 is enough for him?? My hats off to Mitzi for having 8! And hats off to you for taking 7 for a few weeks!

Cassie you & your family are so awesome. Mitzi loved the time spent at your house. She said it was just like it has always been, it seemed like all the years hadn't pasted. She said thet is really a true friend!!!
she said there is no reason we can't meet in Chicago for some fun. She said Scott has always loved Layne. We love & appreciate you all so much. Merlene

Cassie! you are a good woman. I know it's fun you loved helping Mitzi because you know if you ever need her she'd be there in a heart beat BUT I also know about that week after and the necessary nap or two. Glad you got it:) Thanks from the whole family.
